Ratio Beerworks Dear You

What the brewers say

Showcases bright, refreshing, citrus flavors, giving way to a dry, earthy, clean finish. A 2020 GABF American-Belgo Style Ale silver winner.

What our panel thought

Lightly spicy aroma, with clove, pepper, cardamom blending with earthy orange peel and lemon. Flavor is fruitier, with papaya-mango sweetness blending with malt and earthy funk. Citrus seems to clash and overpower spicier notes. Enjoyable.

What our editors thought

Heady mix of crisp floral with orange citrus. The sip tames the fermentation notes with hefty orange and tangerine, backed by tight phenolic spice that keeps the big flavor in check. Fun expression, bending classic saison to today’s hazy citrus tastes.

Creature Comforts Eukaryote

Funk-forward; classic barnyard hay, leather, and some light citrus; lemon-drop hops, floral and perfume-like. Flavor matches aroma, but falls a bit flat. Quite dry, some astringency.

Creature Comforts Brewing Co. Tastes Like Flowers

“Chamomile and yarrow aroma with subtle rose. Dry hay, horse blanket, and wood combine to form a complex union. Some wood and ash aromas as the beer warms. A moderate tart sourness lingers into a slight floral finish.”

Wheatland Spring Brewery East Crib

Inviting nose: subtle floral notes with soft, candy-like sweetness. On the palate, layered malt sweetness with light fruit, fig, jasmine tea, maybe cotton candy. Yet the finish is crisp, with grassy-spicy hop notes. Complex, balanced, enjoyable.
