What the brewers say

West Coast–style India pale lager hopped with Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic.

What our panel thought

Tropical hop nose of fruity goodness—big pineapple, ripe grapefruit, guava. Flavor bursts with gassy fruit—overripe cantaloupe, honeydew, grapefruit, touch of lime. Well balanced sweetness and bitterness. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel accentuates the hop flavors, which interplay in a way that doesn't muddle them. Phenomenal job. A ton of hop complexity. You drink several in one sitting, and just keep finding more with each sip.

What our editors thought

The nose is like a Pacific Northwest greatest hits collection—toasted citrus, pineapple, and a bit of late-picked hop diesel for filler from the artist’s later years. The sip is bold and expressive, with a tight and smooth bitterness, and an oily hops presence that’s notable for its clarity. Remarkable.
