What the brewers say

Brewed with Barke Pilsner malt, Mittelfrüh, and Tettnanger.

What our panel thought

Brilliant gold, great foam. Fresh, crackery-malt nose with light, baguette-like sweetness and a kiss of spicy-floral hops; note of fresh-turned earth. Sweetish bread-crust flavor, plain but pleasant. Bright carbonation; body a bit thin. Dries out just enough in the finish. Bready sweetness emerges more as it warms.

What our editors thought

Gorgeous color and a beautiful foam lead into a soft and vague lemon-lime citrus hops nose with bready undercurrents. The sip leads with a brisk woody bitterness before the malt sweetness kicks in with an agave earthiness.
