What the brewers say

Unfiltered pilsner hopped in the kettle and fermentor with Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and Hersbrucker and lagered for seven weeks.

What our panel thought

Nose like a fresh-mowed lawn, with intoxicating lemon rind and botanical notes. Firm bitterness, lightly toasted honey-like malt sweetness, with some pink-lemonade hop flavor. Light chalkiness. Dry finish. Fun, moderate twist that is close to classic. Would pound one after another at the bar with friends.

What our editors thought

Curious herb-and-melon combination on the nose. In the sip, a bit of grainy sweetness clings to that melon, pushing it forward while herbal hops recede. Finishes with a fruity linger.
