Ratio Beerworks Rooftops

What the brewers say

“Brewed with flaked corn, Rooftops is clean and crisp with a slight touch of salinity.”

What our panel thought

“Crisp herbal notes float up from the foam. Flavor is extremely light; has a corny, sweet, creamy quality in the middle. Subdued hop bitterness doesn’t help balance the sweetness.”

What our editors thought

“Simple yet effective. Light herbal notes on the nose, a touch of corn-like sweetness in the body, and a crisp finish that seems over before it starts.”

Epic Brewing Los Locos

**Aroma:** “Light biscuit sweetness up front, with some floral spice. Strong lime notes, like a margarita, with lemongrass and light earthiness. Some yeast, with moderate sulfur.” **Flavor:** “Strong citrus lime flavor comes through up front, with a saltiness that adds some complexity. The bread-like malt character gives way to the sweet lime and citrus notes. Light hops spiciness, with a light sourness, almost like a gose. Moderate carbonation with a medium body that finishes with a heavy lime note that continues to grow after the sip.” **Overall:** “This is a refreshing, citrusy lager, very much like a light margarita. Could be a fruit beer or a gose, but is more in line with some of the flavored German beers geared toward nonbeer/cocktail people.”

Fly Llama Brewing Me Llamo Llamo

“Grainy, bready nose presents itself as somewhat husky. A hit of perfumy and herbal hops greets you. The malt is out of the way, just a hint of sweetness with moderately low bitterness. A green-fruit character and acidity finishes with the sip. Flabby. Crushable, reminding me of its European roots. Salt of the earth.”

Mason's Brewing Company El Diablo

Pleasant, enticing nose: sweet fresh-cracked grain, with hop notes ranging from floral and spicy to Limoncello. Soft, sweet corny-malt flavor, not quite balanced by low bitterness. Fizzy. Crisp, clean finish with lingering sweetness and hint of spicy hop.
