What our panel thought
Aroma: “Intense sweet milk chocolate, vanilla, licorice, smoke, cinnamon. Subdued coffee. Boozy and fudgy.”
Flavor: “High perceived up-front sweetness with a dry cocoa-powder finish. Coffee is strong and helps to balance the sweetness from the malt and vanilla. Spice from the rum and cinnamon adds complexity and plays off of the booze. Warming, slightly boozy without being hot.”
Overall: “If Cracker Barrel served this beer, they’d sell out in a minute and see tips rise above 30 percent. Cinnamon, vanilla, coffee, toffee, and rum ice cream in a glass. A decadent and delicious guilty pleasure.”
