What the brewers say

Fudge cookies dipped in your favorite rye whiskey, decadent and rich.

What our panel thought

Hints of smoke and smoked meat mingle within an aroma of roast malt, chocolate, coffee, and earthy hops. The flavor profile is equally smoke-forward and is reminiscent more of scotch-barrel aging than rye whiskey, despite the noticeable rye-like spicy notes.

What our editors thought

Bacon and maple syrup offer a brief hit on the aroma before it settles into a slightly thin sip of smoked meat, spicy bourbon, and soothing dark chocolate. Strange but engaging, it’s out of the norm but deliciously appetizing.
