Service Brewing Company Rally Point Pilsner

What the brewers say

Bohemian-style pilsner with sweet biscuit and floral notes. Czech Saaz hops provide a pleasant note of spice with a clean, crisp finish.

What our panel thought

Nice herbal-spicy hop nose with light, sweet malt; hints of sulfur and citrus zest. Pleasant, balanced flavor—gently sweet but light on the palate, rolling into a brusque but welcome bitterness. Clean, crisp. Finishes dry enough, begging for another sip.

What our editors thought

Dried-flower note with a bit of dried citrus in the nose. The flavor captures round, straightforward malt; brisk, spicy bitterness reins in the sweetness, but with a softer mouthfeel. Big flavors, but with friendly and accessible entry points.

Service Brewing Company The Love Boat

“Bourbon character dominates the aroma with a touch of vanilla and dark cherry beneath. Flavor is rich with bourbon playing off chocolate and sweet-and-sour cherry notes. The balanced nuance of a fine chocolatier’s cherry cordial.”

Service Brewing Company Freedom Machine Vol. 5

“Off-the-beaten-track hop profile. Lemongrass, tangerine, pine, peach notes in the aroma lead into a similar flavor profile that leans sweet early. Mouthfeel has a light chalky note. Tropical and piney bitterness emerges late, lingers into the mouth-coating finish.”

Twin Barns Brewing Company Longridge Lager

Light, corn-like malt sweetness in the nose with twiggy, earthy-spicy Noble hops. Light, clean sweetness with evident bitterness and nice spicy-herbal hop flavor—rosemary, pine. A bit thin; malt depth is a faint whisper. Firm bitterness leads to a crisp, dry finish. Hops linger on the palate.
