Silver City Brewery Oktoberfest Lager

What the brewers say

“Presents rich malty sweetness, and spicy hop character.”

What our panel thought

“Bread crust and crackers set the mood in the aroma, while the flavor adds a delicate hint of toffee. The finish dries out slightly, but still leaves a sweet impression.”

What our editors thought

“Brioche nose with light nutty notes and alcohol-driven accents. Bright, sweet malt flavor, with a judicious dusting of light earthy bitterness. It gains depth from subtle hops and not-so-subtle alcohol.”

REVIEWS FOR YOU >

Silver City Brewery Ridgetop Red

Aroma of biscuit, deep caramel, light raisin, and hints of chocolate and coffee. Malt-driven flavor with toast, bread crust, nutty notes, caramel and coffee; a nice canvas for somewhat dank, piney hop flavors. Dry finish with light, lingering bitterness.

Silver City Brewery Old Scrooge Christmas Ale

“Strong malt-forward caramel aroma, with a solid Juicy Fruit–like ester. Light cinnamon comes through as it warms. Caramel and biscuit flavors with hints of balancing bitterness and baking spice. Finish is quite sweet; excellent subtle spices and complexity.”

Breakside Brewery Breakside Pilsner

Floral hop aroma with citrus hints and an evident but complementary minerality. On the palate, crackery malt character cuts through perfumey hop-bitterness. Light body, any unnecessary heft has been carved out. Extremely clean. Beautifully crafted.
