Oozlefinch Craft Brewery Sour Not Stirred

What the brewers say

“A martini-inspired sour ale brewed with gin botanicals and olive juice.”

What our panel thought

“Light juniper aroma with some coriander. Layers of lemon and orange peel come forward. Higher levels of salt and an elevated acidity on the finish balance the sweetness. A slickness as the beer hits the back of the palate. Challenging to take another sip.”

What our editors thought

“The nose could be confused for a mixed-ferm Brett beer, with the herbal brightness and barnyard funkiness. The sip follows through on that citrusy sweet Brett-beer idea, with a bold orange-lime character framed by an herbal spice.”
