What the brewers say

New Zealand IPA

What our panel thought

Nice sappy resinous aromas, followed by some citrus aromas, toasted sugar, and blueberry. Orange lemon hops are joined by pineapple and a bit of grassy dankness. Ribbon candied sweetness with a clean finish. The softly sweet finish of each sip begs for a slightly sharper edge.

What our editors thought

Light but slightly amber color, appears a bit dulled. Light apricot and mango in the aroma, with a white floral edge. Peppery arugula bitterness in the sip with a thiol-driven New Zealand hop edge, but the heaviness of the body saps a bit of energy.
