Funk Factory Geuzeria The Last Four Winters...

What the brewers say

A blend of our favorite 1-, 2-, and 3-year-old spontaneous barrels. Our namesake beer."

What our panel thought

"Citrus and light berry esters, layered atop fresh-mown hay; inviting aromas that build anticipation. Whiffs of lemon, orange peel, vanilla, and touch of funk. Taste is more funky and tart than aroma suggests; sharp, earthy."

What our editors thought

"Creamy peach and apricot fro-yo on the nose; light mineral funk, faint hit of pie crust, and sharper aged-hops notes. Acidity inches past bright into tangy."

2nd Shift Brewing Chateau la Douchebag

Lemon and funk up front, with delicate herbal hop aroma, subtle bread-malt in support. Bright lemon-forward acidity, lightly tart, with a touch of white grape, hay, and must. Full body; layers of vanilla, salt, lemon; underlying Brett-forward funk. Finishes rather sharp, with an acidic punch.

American Solera Coolship Roadtrip

Bright orange, firm white head. Layers of pepper, lemon, lime fill the nose, underlying woody Brett, spicy hops. Layers of moldering leaves and fertile earth; like being in Mirkwood. Medium body; spicy phenols alongside aggressive but balanced barnyard. Assertive lactic sourness without a burn. Remarkably complex beer. Great balance of tart lactic acid, earthy wood, and spicy pepper phenolics.

Funk Factory Geuzeria Harvest Sun

Soft nose with delicate notes of pepper, peach, and white grape. Bright, lively body with droplets of peach layered on top of vanilla, light grape, and a rustic barnyard base. More grape on the finish, with some lingering pepper.
