Triple Crossing Brewing Company Whitewater DIPA

What the brewers say

“Double IPA hopped with Strata and Citra.”

What our panel thought

“Dank, sweaty tropical hops ooze from the cup; lemongrass and herbs mix with garlic and green onion notes. Brilliant tropical fruit flavors run across the palate over a soft, sweet malt canvas; notes of onion-like spice, resinous pine, hints of green tea. Complex, but doesn’t coalesce. Overall, too sweet. Needs some restraint.”

What our editors thought

“Chalky passion fruit and lemon aroma. Tight bitterness in the sip opens into broader orange-guava notes in the retronasal.”

Triple Crossing Brewing Company Citra Triangles IPA

“Meringue-like nose, with notes of soft, sweet lemon curd, vanilla, and weed—in fact, it smells just like a THC-infused edible. Sweetish flavor, near-creamy mouthfeel, low bitterness, but then it dries out nicely. Just a bit of alcoholic warmth.”

Triple Crossing Brewing Company Falcon Smash IPA

“Rich tropical-fruit hop character from start to finish. Fruity gummy bear candy with light orange hop aroma. Soft orange and tangerine fruity flavor. Quite soft and fruit-forward. A decently bitter finish. A fantastic beer, and at the same time, kind of middle of the road. Sometimes instead of treading experimental ground, it’s nice to see the classics executed well.”

Cerebral Brewing Cryptic Message

Baker’s chocolate and light roast coffee jostle for attention in the aroma over clean Noble hops. In the flavor, malt expands to include a little bready sweetness, toffee, coffee, and subtle hints of vanilla. Spicy/herbal hop flavor and clean finishing bitterness are complementary, carrying you to the next sip.
