Tripping Animals Brewing Company Bandido

What the brewers say

Triple dry hopped with Mosaic.

What our panel thought

Complex aroma: white grape, sauvignon blanc, grapefruit, bitter orange, pine. Subtle minerality. Flavor is more restrained, with pronounced white-wine grape and citrus. Dry finish, but low bitterness creates perception of mild sweetness. Welcome departure from the juice-dominant template.

What our editors thought

Light melon notes in the nose, soft and pillowy. In the sip, a bit of bitterness peeks through, but with a curious tropical-fruit angle. Light and airy, with a perfectly balanced sweetness there to highlight the fun tropical flavors.

Tripping Animals Brewing Company Navaho Churro

“Earthy coconut, chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla emerge out of the roast-forward malt aroma with hints of dried fruit, cherry, and some distinct booziness. Creamy full body with deep layers of raisin, dates, plums, and figs combined with hints of marshmallow, coffee, and dark chocolate.”

Light the Lamp Brewery Still Single

“Clear gold with an army of bubbles. Aroma is heavy bubblegum, light pepper, light cherry. Malt-forward initially with light grainy flavors, then cherry and strawberry ester-led yeast flavors enter, finishing with a slight hint of spiced-dirt hop flavor and toasty honey malt.”

Green Cheek Beer Swim Test

Ripe orange, lemon, grapefruit, and intense dankness melding with alcohol for a complex aroma with spicy, pepper-like kick. Chewy sweetness tempers the bitterness, drying out enough to avoid cloying.
