What the brewers say

Our flagship Hazy IPA with Sabro, Cashmere, and El Dorado

What our panel thought

"Soft and pale haze on the pour. Light haze, good head. Strong hop aroma dominates: Overripe tropical fruit, light green onion. Bubblegum on the nose with soft notes of peach and light citrus. Low grainy sweet and bready malt. Lightly sweet bready malt with light notes of biscuit and pie crust. Robust yet soft malt structure with a light flavor profile of stone fruit, cotton candy and lingering citrus. Hop flavors aid with some sweet tropical flavors mango, peach candy, hints of vanilla. Quite low bitterness overall, simulating a bit of a fruit beer quality in this hazy. Finish a touch sweet with solid tropical flavors and a note of grass in the finish. Lovely smoothness in drinkability makes this a repeat order. Hop aromas and flavors are unusual and new. A touch of elevated sweetness cuts through. Semi dry finish with candy like sweetness popping through."

What our editors thought

"Soft tropical nose with a pithy back note and a touch of green fruit. Semi-sweet in the sip as the tropical fruit pith bitterness balances in lieu of any defined hops, but the light pineapple in the flavor is engaging and rewarding."

Twin Span Brewing Twin Sister

Grassy, hints of toasted coconut on nose. Caramel malt dominates the profile, from nose to finish. Rich, complex malt yet lighter bodied and not particularly sweet on the finish. Grassy hops add some structure to the finish. Balancing hops are welcome, along with a drier finish than expected. Light yet still complex and interesting.

Clean, floral and perfume like hops notes in the aroma are followed by a firmly bitter but crisp sit with some nice corn-like sweetness to counter the bold but well balanced bitterness. Red apple skin-forward, cidery aromatics with a touch of noble grassy hops. More a grainy character in flavor, but drinks quite lean. Bitterness cuts away nearly all the sweetness. Incredibly refreshing, and approachable—alcohols are subdued. The apparently cidery character in conjunction with offsetting flavor, works really well together. Snappy and crisp in the finish with a nice lingering bitterness.

“Cinnamon and vanilla in the aroma. Malt and some reserved spice fight for dominance over the sweetness. Some alcohol warmth. As it warms more, ginger and cardamom notes.”
