Two Roads Brewing Co Raspberry H2Roads Craft Hard Seltzer

What the brewers say

Craft hard seltzer made with 100 percent real fruit.

What our panel thought

Fresh raspberry aroma—tart, and a hint of under-ripeness adds complexity. Carbonation level pops the fruit aromatics. Raspberry notes are not overpowering but don’t require a search party. A touch of sweetness softens the finish. Clean and refreshing with a touch of astringency from the fruit. The real fruit is more interesting than a mere essence.

What our editors thought

Brilliant, alluring pink. Light, creamy, pleasant raspberry on the nose, with hints of green stalk and earth that suggest ‘real.’ The sip leads with a bright hit of carbonic acid backed by warm berry notes—suggesting sweetness without delivering it. A broad berry note lingers, reinforcing the fruit flavor and aroma. Long-lasting yet delicate.

Two Roads Brewing Co H2Roads Black Cherry Craft Hard Seltzer

Light pink color, good clarity. Light cherry aroma is tough to pick up at first. In the flavor, the cherry is more front and center, with a nice bite from bright, prickly carbonation. Cherry flavor builds more with each sip. Soda-like. Refreshing drink.

Stone Brewing Buenavida Hard Seltzer - Black Cherry

“Effervescent with a reserved sweetness. Aroma of soft peach, cherry, apricot. Very clean and bright with a muted cherry flavor that lingers. The sparkling carbonation and soft earthy touch bring it together.”

pFriem Family Brewers Belgian Christmas Ale

“Clear medium amber, well-carbonated with an off-white head that never goes away. An intoxicating licorice character in the aroma, with light lemon, coriander, and caramel malt. Spice and more licorice in the flavor with some bready malt in the background work well with a creamy mouthfeel and body. Sweet malt, a touch of toast, and lightly spiced hops play well into the integrated coriander flavor. Semidry, smooth bitter finish. Offers something new in the flavor and complexity each time you come back.”
