WeldWerks Brewing Co. Nectaron Extra Extra Juicy Bits

What the brewers say

“Double IPA brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado hops, and double dry hopped with Nectaron.”

What our panel thought

“Nails the hop interplay: dank Mary Jane, citrus, tropical edges, a touch of grass. Hop reciprocity follows through the flavor into the finish. Never shy but doesn’t bang you over the head. Cloud-like mouthfeel, but there is a presentation of dry simplicity with low minerality. Alcohol heat. Orangey-fruit finish.”

What our editors thought

“Blue raspberry and lemon-orange nose, with a bit of citrus-tree leaf and pepper. Smooth sip, with a crisply structured tropical note. Finishes soft.”

Weldwerks Nelson Extra Extra Juicy Bits

Initial vapor like a fresh bag of hop pellets: tropical-juicy, pineapple, mango, with lighter orange and dankness. Flavor focused on fresh citrus and borderline-overripe tropical fruit. Drinks lighter than a double IPA.

WeldWerks Brewing Co. Extra Extra Juicy Bits

“Rich, layered hop character leans on earthy notes with hints of coconut, mango. Nails the mouthfeel to provide a smooth, creamy finish with a balanced sweetness. Very floral hop flavors, almost pushing soapy. Enough bitterness to add support. Excellent finish with low alcohol note.”

WeldWerks Brewing Co. Twisting Bines

“Sweet toast malt hits the nose first, then grapefruit, limoncello, a touch of red apple. Floral, diesel hop flavor, a sweet, crystal malt–like presence ties it all in and leads you to an off-dry finish. This is all complemented by a great mouthfeel. A very classic and solid American IPA.”
