What the brewers say

Brewed with South of the Border lager yeast, flaked maize, and German Hallertau hops.

What our panel thought

Sweet, corny nose with some welcome lemony and floral-grassy hints. Sweet, grainy flavor, but with a good balance of bitterness. Light-bodied. Clean, crisp, drying finish. Light malt and faint bitterness linger in the aftertaste then vanish. Pretty damn elegant. Subtle, clean, endearing.

What our editors thought

Dusty earthy hops on the nose, with a bit of dry clay and light blossom buoyed by a bit of sweet corn. In the sip, the expected minimal bitterness brings that corn and barley sweetness forward, structured more by the carbonic bite than hops. Yet it remains lean and light with a tight mouthfeel that never lets that sweetness consume it.
