12 West Brewing ZONA

What the brewers say

"ZONA is our tribute to the Grand Canyon State. This Pilsner is light, crisp, and refreshing."

What our panel thought

"Floral, almost soapy, with spicy noble-hops notes and a slightly heavy sweet malt background. Rich body adds some nice grainy complexity, but the finish comes across a bit heavy for a Pilsner. Reminiscent of a stronger pre-Prohibition American light lager with hints of corn sweetness, pleasant hops character, and just a touch of bitterness to balance."

What our editors thought

"Light apple/pear nose and a touch of honey malt that hits quick on the palate before it gets scrubbed by a rather abrupt bitterness."
