Sun King Brewing Hard Seltzer Passion Orange

What the brewers say

Gluten-free, 1 g carbs, 100 calories, and 5 percent ABV.

What our panel thought

Crystal clear. Very tropical aroma—medium-high orange and passion fruit. In the flavor, orange-peel notes, big passion fruit, and a blast of citrus. Light, sparkly, dry. Refreshing beverage. Great balance of sweetness and carbonation.

What our editors thought

Utterly clear and sparkling. Pleasant, sourish, orange-driven aroma—juicy. Indistinct passion fruit helps to drive that sharp, pleasant orange. Sip is lightly sweet, watery, and plain, with faint acidity. Aroma shines, but flavor doesn’t bring it.

Uinta Brewing Grapefruit Nosh

Pleasant grapefruit zest-and-juice aroma. Bright grapefruit throughout pairs well with old-school caramel and pine-citrus hops. Lightly tart, with pithy bitterness balancing sweet heavy fruit, while unassuming malt provides body. Finishes dry and a bit tart, making you want more.

Two Roads Brewing Co H2Roads Passion Fruit Hard Seltzer

“Passion-fruit aroma. Passion fruit and alcohol hit the tongue first, slightly tart and tangy. Low sweetness lets some brightness and a lot of passion fruit and tart citrus shine. Very clean, quick, dry, and pleasant finish.”

Garage Brewing Company 951 Blonde Ale

Earthy hop aroma with hints of onion, pine, and bread-like malt. The flavor has a mineral edge that brings out some grainy malt, but oxidation mutes the impact. A hint of corn-like sweetness serves to temper the bitterness. Balanced, crisp. There's little to grasp. Not much of a lasting impression.
