Red Brick Brewing Company Laughing Skull Craft Lager

What the brewers say

“This light-bodied lager is crisp and dry on the palate with a clean finish. That’s beer-geek speak meaning this is possibly one of the most easy drinkin’ beers you’ve ever poured in your face.”

What our panel thought

Aroma: “Light bready sweetness that mixes with some slight floral notes and hints of pepper and lemon. A bit of acetaldehyde.”

Flavor: “Light-bodied, crisp, with some bready sweetness and a slight citrus character. Very little hops flavor, with some pepper and bitterness up front, and a hint of floral that fades almost before you swallow it. Nice creaminess.”

Overall: “Clean freshness with pepper and lemon, supported by a balanced biscuit malt. Invites the palate to take a second and third taste, and very welcoming. Lawnmower beer, and perfect for a hot day.”

SKA Brewing The Ska Lager

“Medium husky grain with light nuttiness and low hop bitterness. The hop character is floral and slightly spicy. Light, estery aroma with notes of golden raisins and red apple. Crisp, dry finish. Nuttiness.”

Fonta Flora Brewery The Pearl

“Very little aroma, just a wisp of white bread. Sweet cereal maltiness interplays with a substantial salty, mineral presence. Low hop bitterness, but the minerality helps pull together a relatively clean finish. There is a hint of shellfish, but it’s a hint and not overpowering.”

Utah Brewers Cooperative Wasatch Last One In

**Aroma:** Delicate nose, with a subtle balance of doughy malt and spicy hops. The hops brings a bit of green peppercorn, with moderate lemon and floral character. Malt is medium bread and light toast, with some sweetness.” **Flavor:** “Some slight floral notes. Light-bodied, sweet bready malt with some biscuit. The clean freshness of the pepper and lemon is well supported by the malt and invites the palate to take a second and third taste.” **Overall:** “Crisp and clean, with a moderate citrus flavor that plays well with the high carbonation. Light body, with a semi-spicy profile, that balances well with the floral hops. Refreshing, inviting, and crisp. Very drinkable.”
