Moksa Brewing Co Changes

What the brewers say

"Brewed with Mostra coffee, Mexican vanilla, and over 1 lb per gallon of coconut."

What our panel thought

“A playful back-and-forth of earthy coconut sweetness and roasty coffee bitterness with hints of chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon-like spice in the background. Spritzy.”

What our editors thought

“Big coffee notes in the nose with a vivid marshmallow pop; the coconut emerges in the sip for a soft and indulgent sweet finish given structure by the strategic coffee notes. Smart choices pull it back at every critical moment.”

Moksa Brewing Co Grasp of Noir

“Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and cassia bark in the aroma create an earthy yet decadent nose. Firm body with dark-roast coffee wrapped in vanilla beans, cinnamon, and nuts, soaked in bourbon.”

Moksa Brewing Pastry Mode

Metric ton of coconut aroma, with light nutty coffee and chocolate. In flavor, sweet dark chocolate, coconut, and vanilla. Slightly cloying, but dark-chocolate malt and light roast help cut through the crazy richness.

Finback Brewery Grazing on the Ordinary

Coconut leads the aroma; notes of chocolate, vanilla, buttered toast, amaretto, marzipan, espresso. Creamier notes play with cherry-like almond. Fairly sweet finish; long-lingering dark chocolate.
