What the brewers say

“Pacific Northwest yeast and hops. Bright tropical notes and a touch of dankness.”

What our panel thought

“Golden, crystal-clear color. A light bready note in the aroma supports well-balanced candied tangerine, cotton candy, orange zest, and a faint earthy hop note. Flavor is crisp and clean with tangerine notes and a hint of candied orange that adds character. Pleasant, long, dry Mandarin-orange finish with a soft floral hop quality.”

What our editors thought

“Dank with bits of cedar and warm forest in the nose. Fruit-rind bitterness in the sip with juicy highlights.”

Moonraker Brewing Co. Captain Mo

“Dank, piney hops take center stage in the aroma. They make the same moves in the flavor but are somewhat sabotaged by a chalkiness that blunts their impact and adds some harsh notes to the relatively mild bitterness.”

Firestone Walker Brewing Co Psychedelic Arcade

“Bright candied orange nose with an almost Fruity Pebbles note. Flavor echoes the candied tangerine notes, with light bread supporting. More perfumy than grassy, but both are there. A dry finish plays well with bright and earthy flavors.”

Moonraker Brewing Co. New Zealand Pilsner

“Diesel and dank aromatics with hints of garlic, pine, a touch of green onion. Dank notes continue into the flavor with elements of resin, orange, cedar, and an earthy character. Despite the pleasantly aggressive dank bitterness, the finish is crisp and clean with a just-right lingering bitterness.”
