Wise Man Brewing Chosen Vehicle Mosaic

What the brewers say

Aromas of bright tropical fruit and grass lead to stone fruit and citrus on the palate of this crushable pale.

What our panel thought

Earthy grapefruit-lime nose with a touch of straw-like malt. Flavor harmoniously balances earthy bitterness, strawberry-rhubarb, and light diesel notes with malt sweetness. Hop flavor has a pleasant stickiness. Excellent body and mouthfeel. Gets danker as it warms.

What our editors thought

Funky tropical guava and passion fruit with a touch of pineapple/piña colada. The sip leads with smart tropical bitterness and solid carbonic bite, quickly resolving into a blend of tropical, bitter, sweet, and funky. Rather pleasant.

Wise Man Brewing Mountain Calling

“A bit dark for a West Coast IPA, but the orange, kiwi, and pineapple aroma hints at New Zealand hops with a hint of guava. The flavor follows the aroma, with a lower bitterness dominated by toasty and slightly grainy malt notes. An easy drinker.”

Wise Man Brewing Cosmic Perspective

“Light orange-led citrus and pine in the aroma, crystal malt sweetness behind. First sip reveals a balanced bitterness with a slight sweetness. A slight clean bitterness lingers in the finish. A soft sweetness toward the end, just a little lighter.”

Wise Man Brewing Pocket Gold

“Solid biscuit and pie-crust malt aroma with a hint of caramel; lovely spicy and floral hops, light apricot esters. Malt dominance continues in the flavor: pie crust and light toast with a hint of brown sugar. Earthy, woody, spearmint hop notes. A bit sweet but balanced well by the spicy hop bitterness. Finishes mostly dry.”
